Arithmomania is a recognized symptom of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD). A counter , it is characterized by an obsession with numbers and mathematic process that reaches a severity which interferes with everyday life.
People with Counting Compulsions may count anything suddenly because they feel that certain numbers have special significance, and therefore their specific actions must be performed in a certain number of times. People with Counting Obsessions do not always have a reason for counting, 0.5% of young people have this mental disorder.

· Counting numbers on devices (repetitive looking on the run time of the movie while watching)
Treatment Without Medicine
1. Try to ignore– try not to think and do other things that let you forget about counting.
2. Calming down- after you get anxious because of trying not to count, you can make yourself calm by doing things that makes you happy.
3. Destruct yourself– make yourself busy so you focus only on work and you will have no time on counting.
4. Aid yourself i
n counting– have some tools that will do the counting and not by yourself. An example is to have a Coin Case. Using this tools will make you calm, make your coin to be organized and at the same time you don’t have to count from time to time because it have label that tells you its amount.
